PDM House

Deckshield Offers PDM House a Contemporary Finish

Located next to the Kwiana Freeway, Perth, PDM House is home to a variety of businesses. Originally built in the 1970s, the four storey office block had begun to show its age, and was in need of redevelopment.

Part of this redevelopment was to renovate the external car park. The existing flooring was heavily stained from oil and dirt ingress, and the concrete was in need of repair, typical of an exposed, uncoated concrete deck.

Flowcrete Australia's protective coating system, Deckshield was chosen for the job due to its proven track record. The client sough after a flooring solution that was waterproof, slip resistant and easy to maintain.

It was also required that the solution could be applied in the same contemporary grey colour that had been applied to the exterior of the building. Deckshield ID, a solvent-free, flexible polyurethane solution fit the description perfectly.

Close attention had to be paid to the entry and exit ramps, which are particularly steep. A bespoke specification was used in these areas to ensure that the correct level of slip resistance was achieved.

The client chose Deckshield over alternative products as it has excellent durability and value for money. Flowcrete Australia was also able to blend the flooring solution to a custom colour, requested by the client.
