Resin Flooring Systems Installed At Qantas Facility

Flowcrete Australia’s industrial resin flooring system, Flowcoat SK, has recently been selected as the surface product of choice for aviation giant, Qantas, at one of the company’s service hangars located in Tamworth Airport.

The resinous flooring system was chosen to replace the clients existing flooring surface, which had not only aged poorly but had become increasingly difficult to maintain. 

With high chemical and impact resistant properties, Flowcrete’s Flowcoat SK system has been designed for use within the aviation industry and has already been implemented in aircraft facilities worldwide, where its resistance to Skydrol aviation fluid offers clients significant advantages over other hard floor coverings. 

Key features and benefits of the Flowcoat SK epoxy industrial resin flooring system include its ability to withstand harsh aircraft fuels and hydraulic fluids, to protect against UV damage from strong and potentially damaging sunlight and its super high impact resistance properties.

What’s more the system, has a high-gloss finish to increase light reflectivity, creating bright, dynamic working spaces.

The 2,500 sq metre area at the Tamworth Hangar was installed with Flowcoat SK followed by a topcoat of the high gloss Flowseal UV coating solution to provide additional protection against potential discolouration and fading due to UV exposure.
