Audi Centre Springwood

The purpose-built, luxury automotive development on the Pacific Highway, Audi Centre Springwood, installed a car park deck coating system that had already proven itself at its sister branch on the Gold Coast.

Developed by the James Frizelles Automotive Group, the new centre reflects the deluxe image and style of the Audi brand. It was critical that this commitment to quality extended to the building materials used to construct the facility, with the external car park being no exception.

Acting as the backdrop to the luxury vehicles on display as well as being the first impression for many arriving customers, the car park needs to present an unblemished, attractive surface. The centre’s operators knew that the existing concrete substrate required a flexible trafficable membrane system to both protect the concrete and provide key operational properties that would reflect the site’s high-end identity.

2,300 m² of Deckshield ED in sleek light grey with white signage was applied across the external car park including on its ramp to create a finish that would maintain an attractive, seamless platform for an extended period of time. The flexible polyurethane car park deck coating system is ideal for providing a colourful, crack bridging, waterproof system.

The installation was completed by the flooring applicator during the summer months, so the application times were strictly controlled during the project. The application was undertaken in stages so that the car park could remain open throughout.
