Flowcrete Delivers a Fresh Look to Tasty Trucks

Tasty Trucks are a national sandwich manufacturer that hand delivers over 28,000 meals daily across Australia. Originating in 1979 with just one delivery truck, they have grown to include a fleet of over 140 vans and five distribution facilities.

In December 2016, Flowcrete Australia supplied Tasty Trucks with a specialist resin floor that would ensure the food provider would be well equipped with a high performance, HACCP International certified surface throughout its facility in Ferntree Gully, Victoria. To guarantee that its food remains as fresh as possible, Tasty Trucks specifies systems and materials that comply with global best practise as outlined in the HACCP food safety management system.

500 m2 of pewter coloured Flowfresh SR with a Flowfresh Sealer finish was applied in the site’s food preparation areas, bakery and cool rooms. The heavy duty, chemical resistant, antimicrobial polyurethane resin system is ideal for food production areas and it achieved HACCP International certification thanks to its ability to maintain a finish that meets HACCP’s strict hygiene criteria.

Flowfresh Sealer’s innovative formulation means that flooring systems for food environments no longer need to be purely uninspiring surfaces. Food processing facilities can have a finish that combines bold, eye-catching, full gloss colours with all the resilience and hygienic properties required within intense industrial locations.

The durability of Flowfresh makes it perfect for projects like Tasty Trucks, as the floor area will retain its vibrancy despite the many challenges thrown at it on a daily basis within the food production and processing spaces.

Its gloss finish also makes Flowfresh Sealer easier to clean than traditional matt systems. The ease of cleaning and seamless, hygienic surface it creates ensures that the floor provides the ultimate in food safe flooring.
